And the 2nd Strawberry Creation: this delicious strawberry sorbet! If you've read the blog before, you may have seen the recipe for Grapefruit Sorbet (yum!): http://recipeswecanalleat.blogspot.com/2011/02/grapefruit-sorbet.html
I just adjusted it for the strawberries & it was sooo good! You can use any berries, & really most kinds of mushy fruit to make this, and it is so healthy and easy:)
Strawberry Sorbet
Makes enough for 4-6.
1. With a masher, mash up 3 cups of fresh strawberries: (you can also use a blender or food processor if you want)
2. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of hot water, 1/2 cup of honey or agave & 2 Tbsp. of fresh lemon juice. Stir it up well to combine.
3. Add this mixture to the fruit & pour onto a baking sheet or pan. Put in the freezer.
4. Every 1/2 hour or so, scrape the hard parts on the bottom & keep mixing it up - do this for about an hour and 1/2 until it's sorbet & delicious!
ENjoy!
